Kick-off meeting challenges CreativeCH consortium for identifying strategies to implement the project

A full agenda expected the partners of the CreativeCH consortium at the beginning of November 2011 in Prato, Italy for the Project kick-off meeting. One of the main concerns during the meeting was to address the fact that in promoting cooperation between institutions in the field of digital cultural heritage, science & technology, and cultural & creative industries, their differences have to be tackled and addressed. “We aim to promote cooperation between people that usually don´t even say good morning in the same way”, said Franco Niccolucci, CreativeCH project leader.

The meeting had a central focus on the definition of the project strengths and strategies, as well as the short and mid-term activities planning.  “I was very happy to see the team particularly excited about the relevance and timeliness of the project’s objectives, in particular in what concerns the role of creative cooperation for innovations in regional development”, explained Mr Guntram Geser, project manager from the project partner organisation Salzburg Research. “The strong involvement of students was also identified as a key aspect of the project. By stimulating their interest and understanding of cultural heritage, we believe that creative ideas for innovative solutions will emerge”, added Geser.
