Business Models for Creative Cooperation, the fifth CreativeCH's Workshop

The "Pilsen 2015" Logo. The city of Pilsen will host the next CreativeCH workshop

The fifth CreativeCH's workshop, "Businness Models for Creative Cooperation", will take place the next 17th of September in Pilsen, Czech Republic, within the framework of Pilsen Week of Culture Factories.

The workshop will focus on the opportunities and challenges in the revitalization and communication of industrial heritage sites. Revitalization involves adapted new uses of such sites often in the form of facilities for cultural organisations (museums, galleries, etc.) or work spaces for creative industry businesses.

Experts and participants will tackle relevant topics in the field, such as how to foster public-private partnerships and involvement of civic, cultural and artistic associations in the revitalization and communication of industrial heritage sites. A special focus will be made on business models and how to transfer and stimulate the uptake of best practices and new creative ideas in the revitalization and communication of industrial heritage sites.

The workshop will present and discuss approaches for creative cooperation of site developers, creative businesses, S&T and cultural heritage organizations for communicating industrial heritage to new and young audiences.

The Pilsen Week of Culture Factories

As mentioned, the workshop will be held in the framework of the Pilsen Week of Culture Factories, that will take place from 16 to 20 September 2013.

The event will comprise a series of seminars, workshops and exhibitions devoted to the use of former industrial objects for activities in the spheres of culture, art and community life.

It will draw experts from outside the Czech Republic who have experience with running cultural centres, such as the future Culture Factory in Svetovar. These experts will share their knowledge in the fields of funding, marketing, and programme management at seminars with participants drawn from the ranks of organisers of contemporary and future cultural spaces.

The programme will culminate in an international conference on 19 September, where there will be international guest speakers. The conference will be open not just to cultural organisers but also to experts in urban design, architects, politicians, and the general public. Participation is free of charge and anyone interested in attending can register from the beginning of August at the following website: http://www.plzen2015.eu
